Description:
The Department of History and Classical Studies at McGill University is a large teaching and research unit with a focus on 20th Century, Canadian, and Ancient History.
Cold War Interests:
A number of historians in the department work on the period of the Cold War, particularly in the Afro-Asian world. In past years, they have organized several conferences on Cold War-related topics. Thanks to a generous donation, a research group on Transitions and Global Modernities in the 20th century was established in 2015.
