The exhibition „The Labyrinth of the 90’s“ was presented in 2023 in Belgrade and in 2024 in Sarajevo. The team of authors (Dubravka Stojanovic, Igor Stiks, Dejan Ubovic) had the idea to reopen the discussion on that decade and the wars in Yugoslavia through provocative design and intriguing artefacts. The main question is why Yugoslav peoples entered in the labyrinth of ethnic hatred and crimes? Did they ever get out of that decade? Do they know how to get out? Do they want to get out? The exhibition is a step toward the Museum of the 90’s that is supposed to be opened in Belgrade.

Die Web Lecture Series „Transregional Histories of the Yugoslav Wars“ findet im Rahmen des Forschungsprojekts Reordering Yugoslavia, Rethinking Europe statt, das vom Institut für Zeitgeschichte gemeinsam mit der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin und dem Leibniz-Institut für Ost- und Südosteuropaforschung durchgeführt wird.
