Description:

The Berlin artist Yadegar Asisi depicts with the panorama picture THE WALL the life at and in the shadow of the Wall on a fictitious autumn day in the 1980s. The panorama – on a scale of 1:1 – takes the visitor to a time travel in the past of the divided city of Berlin. See people in their everyday life: moving house, playing kids, graffiti painters. In the eastern sector a prominent position is held by the border guards, observing life in the west across the death strip.

Cold War Interests:

The panorama experience is supplemented by a photo exhibition containing over 100 photos by contemporary eyewitnesses, giving the visitor personal insights into the period of the construction and the fall of the Wall. In addition to this the exhibition part CHANGE OF PERSPECTIVE gives a private insight into the life of Yadegar Asisi, his past in East and West and his artistic development.
